Welcome

Looking for an image or information on a Pennsylvania Soldier or doing research and need some help?

The collection of identified and unidentified images of Pennsylvania soldiers are from many different regiments across the state with a strong emphasis on Chester County. The images include officers, bucktails, sharpshooters, zouaves, infantry, pioneers, artillery, cavalry, and musicians. Also there are various letters from soldiers, and civilians. We have letters from Maj. Gen. Winfield Scott Hancock detailing his experiences at Gettysburg and the wounds he received there.

In addition there are other images including postmortems and special interest such as Jenny Wade, Sallie Myers, Lincoln items and confederate images. Other items include various documents such as discharge papers and muster rolls and regimental reunion items. In addition there are also Little Big Horn and Old West images.

Our images and artifacts have been displayed for historical societies, the National Park Service in Gettysburg and the Gettysburg Battlefield Preservation Association Collectors Show in Gettysburg where we have won several awards including Best Photographical Collection and Most Educational.
